David Ridgus Posted 11 May , 2016 Share Posted 11 May , 2016 I've let the forum down, I've let the inmates down, but most of all I've let myself down. If I was a better and nicer person I'd be ashamed of myself. I'll limit myself to one tomorrow in an attempt to free myself from the doghouse............................... And of course, all importantly, that will get us back to even numbers because having 15 identified rather than 14 or 16 was making my eye twitch faster than Captain Darling's. Uncle George Posted 12 May , 2016 Share Posted 12 May , 2016 So is he Kipling? And if he's 'little' how small is the lady! He is not Kipling, but the subject of one of his poems: "THERE's a little red-faced man, Which is Bobs, Rides the tallest 'orse 'e can- Our Bobs. If it bucks or kicks or rears, 'E can sit for twenty years With a smile round both 'is ears- Can't yer, Bobs?"
Uncle George Posted 12 May , 2016 Share Posted 12 May , 2016 Just can`t fathom U.G`s couple. My post has been eclipsed somewhat by David's chessboard. But this pair were not a couple. The photograph was taken at the Staff College, when the Lady's husband was Commandant.

Knotty Posted 12 May , 2016 Share Posted 12 May , 2016 UG As I said a pure guess, I had 3 candidates that would fit the time scale that had a wife, Wilson, Robertson and Anderson so I picked the one in the middle, not scientific but it worked.
