Dust Jacket Collector Posted 19 July , 2014 Share Posted 19 July , 2014 This has long been my favourite of all War memoirs. Not much in the way of blood & thunder but what comes through is the truly compassionate nature of the man under whom it would have doubtless been a pleasure to serve. The original is a rare book & It was probably my greatest coup to find a copy in a box on the floor of a bookshop, mint & in jacket inscribed by Adams' sister who was responsible for getting the book published after he was killed. Good to see it online at last.
