fred weir

to all forum members,

i have located the medal card entry for a fred weir . i hope this is the correct one. the fred weir i was trying to locate was from county cavan . the photo i have the museum told me he was in the royal irish fusiliers. but when i found medal card entry.it has him down for the royal irish rifles and service no is 7317. and the leinster regiment and service number was 27803. any one have any information for on him i would be most greatful .

Hello Pol,

I think you may have the wrong card, but I may have found the right one! Search the MIC's for a Frederick Weir (note first name spelling) and you will get a hit for a man in the Royal Irish Fusiliers, with the number 8532. Hope he's your man.
