I have looked on the AWM for his record, but sadly this is not yet on line (I have requested it, though). According to his son, Albert Clarke may have been a medical orderly. Can anyone confirm this...?? Albert's brother was Lt Alexander Clarke of 18 Bn AIF who died shortly after returning to Australia. According to the nominal role, 63722 Gnr Albert Clarke is not shown as returning to Australia. Can anyone explain this (as he did return to Oz)....??
