Delta Golf Posted 6 August , 2014 Share Posted 6 August , 2014 I was lucky this week to be at the book launch of Newcastle Battalion of World War One, the story of the 16th Bn, Northumberland Fusiliers. Ian Johnson, the author has spent the last 5 years researching this Battalion and has come up with a quality book, both from a build and content perspective. Raising the Newcastle Battalion 3. The training camps 4. France 5. Preparations for battle 6. Thiepval 1 July 1916 7. Ovillers 8. Return to the Somme 9. The Hindenburg Line 10. Nieupont 11. Ypres Salient 12. Has anyone seen my boy? 13. Old soldiers never die 14. Pilgrimage 15. Embarkation Roll, Roll of Honour 16. The last word Cost is £25.
