Guest Simon Bull Posted 25 October , 2004 Share Posted 25 October , 2004 Hello George. Welcome to the Forum -- it is especially nice to welcome a veteran such as yourself. I enjoyed your web site. I am researching a War Memorial upon which there are two Ernest Smith's! However, obviously neither of them was your father. I cannot help you about your father, but there are some people amongst the Pals who are, I think, Machine Gun Corps specialists and they may be able to be more helpful. I hope you enjoy being with us. Regards, Simon Bull

hmsk212 Posted 25 October , 2004 Share Posted 25 October , 2004 Hi Airforce, Do you have your fathers medals as, with such a common name, his service number would be of immense value to helping us help you with details of his career etc?
