Hi all, just had my book WHERE THE FALLEN LIVE FOREVER published, commemorating the 1,186 men from the Crewe & Nantwich area who fell during the 1914-19 war. It is an A4 hardback with 328 pages and is illustrated throughout. Profits to go to Help For Heroes and the British Legion. Priced £17.99 available from Waterstones. cover 2.jpg

I was at your very enjoyable talk in Crewe lately - congratulations! I bet most of the members here aren't aware that badgers can be one of the dangers to befall the truly committed memorial-seeker!

I have just got hold of a copy of Mark Potts' and Tony Marks' book and am hugely impressed by the quality of it and the work that must have gone in to compiling all the information about the men. I guess it's the nature of these things that you take an interest only in the ones that are relevant to your area of interest so don't have much to compare them with but this is a superb effort.

I suppose I should add that I have never met either of the authors!
