The Scorer Posted 3 October , 2014 Share Posted 3 October , 2014 I would like to read (but not necessarily buy) this book. My local library seems to have a copy of the original (1995?) book which I can borrow. However, I see that a new paperback version came out recently. Does anyone know whether this is a revised version of the original, or just a reprint of it, please? Thank you.
Steven Broomfield Posted 3 October , 2014 Share Posted 3 October , 2014 One of the authors, Graham Maddocks, died several years ago. I can't remember the co-author's name, but I suppose he could have revised it. Good book, though.
David Filsell Posted 3 October , 2014 Share Posted 3 October , 2014 Revised, or unrevised, it's a must.
nigelcave Posted 3 October , 2014 Share Posted 3 October , 2014 Almost certainly it will be a reprint only.
charlesmessenger Posted 3 October , 2014 Share Posted 3 October , 2014 It is more of a reference book, and an invaluable one at that, than one to read from cover to cover. Charles M

edwin astill Posted 6 October , 2014 Share Posted 6 October , 2014 A question I often put to people, especially youngsters "How many generals were casualties in WW1?" Invariably the answer is "none" The book is a good corrective. Edwin
