Mates,

Can anyone help with the bio details of this man.

AHT (intals) The Earl of Kintore PC (?) GCMG is shown as a RtHon/Col of two Australian Milita Light Horse Regt's in South Australia between 1891 and 1913.

Can anyone tell me what and who he was?

I can not find his name in the AWM collection or the ANA site and I was after any details you may have.

Sir Algernon Hawkins Thomond Keith-Falconer - 10th Earl of Kintore.

GCMG Crown of Italy, 1st Class Red Eagle of Prussia. Military Order of Christ, Prtugal, North Star of Sweden. Col Commandant Gordon Highlanders. ADC to King Edward V11 and King George V. Born Edinburgh 12 June 1852. Married Sydney, daughter of 6th Earl of Manchester 1873. Educated Eton, Trinity College Cambridge (MA L.L.D). Deputy Speaker , House of Lords 1913. Captain, Yeoman of the Guard 1886-889. Resigned on appointment as Governor and C in C South Australia 1889.
