DrB Posted 30 October , 2004 Share Posted 30 October , 2004 RE Company 306 was a Road Construction Company. This was "stolen" from a previous thread and written by someone far more knowledgable than I. "Reviewing the History of the Corps of Royal Engineers, Vol 5 (France, Flanders, Italy and Home Front), pp129-132 lists all RE Transportation Units in service at Armistice 11 November 1918 in all theaters of the Great War (including units in Russia). Railway Construction Companies are mentioned numbering up to 298. Road Construction Coys are numbered: 301-319, 330-347 and 349. Quarry Coys are numbered: 198, 199, 320-329 and 348."
