Some members of this forum have maybe some names and informations for helping me to compile a list. One I have already found was Captain Leslie Russell Balke antartic explorer & geologist a memeber of the Australasian antartic expedition 1911 - 1914 with Douglas Mawson. Died at Hooge(Ypres) on 28/1017 and is buried in THE HUTS Cem at Ieper. According to " These for Remembrance" book by John Buchan, he was in the Tibetan Expedition in 1904. He also led an expedition in Southen Tibet, which determined for the firts time the sources of the Bramaputra. Also an exp. into Dutch New Guinea 1909-11, where his party discovered a new pigmy race.
