Guest julian blyton Posted 6 November , 2004 Share Posted 6 November , 2004 Hello Trying to find information about William Higo, believed to be from Sheffield. There is some mention of this at Thiepval, but i'm hoping for more details. Is there anyway that I can access the medal card index in the Thiepval register> I believe that there are 49 volumes! Any help much appreciated. Thanks Jennifer Holt
Terry Denham Posted 6 November , 2004 Share Posted 6 November , 2004 The MICs are not part of the CWGC registers. They are index cards to the Medal Rolls held at the National Archives in Kew and which are now available on-line. http://www.documentsonline.nationalarchive...owse-refine.asp I have sent you an email on this topic. There is no William Higo on the Thiepval Memorial. This is a memorial for the missing from the Somme. I understand your g/grandfather is buried in Sheffield.
