Hi all,

I am researching a soldier called J R Clarke. Mr Clarke joined the KOYLI in 1914, and went to France with them in 1915. On May 7th he received a near fatal head wound. I have looked on the medal index cards online but he is not listed. Also i think he was an officer, although this is not for certain. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Glynn.

Hello Glynn

Clarke was a Lt with 2/KOYLI and was wounded during the Bns attack on Hill 60 on the night of May 7th - 8th 1915.

Hello Glynn

I haven't got any more specific info on Clarke, but I do have some info on the attack in which he was wounded. PM me with your email address and I will pass it on.
