Books on Gallipoli

Just a quick word of warning for anyone thinking of buying the Am*on reprint of this. The quality is unbelievably appalling - the lowest resolution possible of the images, and they are mostly b/w. I returned it almost immediately.

Interesting npm. I wonder how many other people have had the same experience. I was lucky enough to pick up my copy from a local Oxfam shop not too long ago.

That's the best way to get hold of a copy, in my view. I'd like to get hold of a copy, but won't risk it online again.

I had a copy that i unfortunatley sold, that had been owned by somebody who was there and on all the tissue guards he had very neatly named all the ships etc shown in the paintings

The book mentioned above is available online

The Dardanelles; colour sketches from Gallipoli by Norman Wilkinson 1915 Archive.org

This is one of many books on Gallipoli available online, from various sources, including a number mentioned in this thread. See the FIBIS Fibiwiki page Gallipoli
