pete-c Posted 21 October , 2015 Share Posted 21 October , 2015 Just a quick word of warning for anyone thinking of buying the Am*on reprint of this. The quality is unbelievably appalling - the lowest resolution possible of the images, and they are mostly b/w. I returned it almost immediately. Interesting npm. I wonder how many other people have had the same experience. I was lucky enough to pick up my copy from a local Oxfam shop not too long ago. Norrette Posted 21 October , 2015 Share Posted 21 October , 2015 That's the best way to get hold of a copy, in my view. I'd like to get hold of a copy, but won't risk it online again.
barkalotloudly Posted 22 October , 2015 Share Posted 22 October , 2015 I had a copy that i unfortunatley sold, that had been owned by somebody who was there and on all the tissue guards he had very neatly named all the ships etc shown in the paintings
MaureenE Posted 22 October , 2015 Share Posted 22 October , 2015 The book mentioned above is available online The Dardanelles; colour sketches from Gallipoli by Norman Wilkinson 1915 Archive.org This is one of many books on Gallipoli available online, from various sources, including a number mentioned in this thread. See the FIBIS Fibiwiki page Gallipoli http://wiki.fibis.org/index.php/Gallipoli#Historical_books_online Cheers Maureen
