Matthew John Sumners 2nd Yorks Regiment Group 7 POW at Cohimnity or Gimnity Germany it is hard to make out, born 1887 St Ives Cornwall.can anyone give info on this POW camp, on photo his uniform is cheese cutter hat with tarten band plus badge a cutaway jacket and kilt,knee length stockings with putties another person beside him is dressed in a uniform looks like a guard but I,could be wrong date says 1914-1918 grateful for any info ( thanks Titch)

I have checked Mrs Pope-Hennessy's book Map of the Main Prison Camps in Germany and Austria but neither place is listed.

Are you certain of the spellings?

If not, could you please post a picture of the text?
