HI FOLKS,

I AM TRYING TO FIND MY MOTHERS FATHER, WAS GASSED IN WW1 AND GOT A PENSION ,NO LUCK ON THE INTERNET , KEW OR PENSION OFFICE.

READING THE POSTING ON THE SITE ,I READ ABOUT " ABSENT VOTERS LIST", WHAT THE GEN ON THESE AND HOW DO YOU ACCESS THEM ?

You'll no doubt find it at either the local history library that covers the Ilford area or, alternatively, at the Essex County Archives. As the name implies, they are lists of those eligible to vote but who were away from their home on active service.

Depending on the area, the list may include the unit with which the guys were serving.
