lancashire Posted 28 June , 2015 Share Posted 28 June , 2015 Reading a book on the Ottomans and I have found this" In late February Kitchener ordered the British Commander in Egypt to dispatch 36,000 Anzac troops to joint the 10,000 men of the Royal Naval Division at Moudros" the French also dispatched 18000 men The Eastern Expeditionary Corps, (Corps Expeditionnaire d' Orient, was mobilised and dispatched to the straights in the first week of march. Interested to learn the make up of the Royal Naval Division if its just Marines what was their role?
