GavinH Posted 14 November , 2004 Share Posted 14 November , 2004 I have been researching an officer of the 1/4th East Lancs who died of wounds on 24/03/1918. Can anyone suggest where I might find a good account of the unit's actions during the 1918 Spring Offensive. I have read the unit war diaries for the period. Thanks Gavin
Dawson Posted 14 November , 2004 Share Posted 14 November , 2004 Hi, Off the top of my head, I think there is a book called Bill KennedyMM that deals with the 1/4th East Lancs. Hope this helps. Ian.
GavinH Posted 14 November , 2004 Author Share Posted 14 November , 2004 Thanks for your reply Ian. I do have a copy of the book about Bill Kennedy MM somewhere. I bought it a couple of years ago, but haven't been able to find it lately. I fear it is in the hell that is my loft. I seem to remember that he was detached from the regiment by this date, possibly serving with the MGC? I'll certainly dig it out and check. Thanks for reminding me of it.
