Allison01 Posted 7 August , 2015 Share Posted 7 August , 2015 Does anyone know how abridged The New England Library editions are in comparison to the Odhams editions? Are they the same? I can't decide whether to go for a later set and which one or just get hold of an unabridged original set. I am not worried about losing the Eastern Front volume but I don't know how much text is lost other than that. Help! Allison
johnboy Posted 7 August , 2015 Share Posted 7 August , 2015 There is a 1923 version available to read on line if you are just after some info. https://archive.org/stream/worldcrisis00chur#page/20/mode/2up
Allison01 Posted 8 August , 2015 Author Share Posted 8 August , 2015 Yes I saw the online version, I might dip into it later. It's funny I have a kindle with plenty of books on it and it certainly has its advantages, but for some reason I struggle with reading online books, I don't feel like I'm reading a book. Which is stupid really, when there are so many rare and expensive titles to view for free online. Maybe it's the ownership thing that's missing. Having said all that I was reading Conan Doyle's history of part of the Spring Offensive online last week and that was helpful. Thanks John.
