aramsay Posted 21 November , 2004 Share Posted 21 November , 2004 My better half is French, and the family are curently looking up a couple of relatives that were lost in the Great War. There is a govt. facility called, Memoire des Hommes that give details of date of death, etc., but no mention of where they might be buried or commemorated. Does anyone know if there is an French on-line equivalent to the CWGC, or maybe an e-mail address for appropriate defense or govt. department ? Fyi.....1 was lost Sept. 1914 at Fere Champenoise, in the 1st Battle of the Marne, while the other we are stuck for information at the moment...... Appreciate any suggestions.
