1901 Census shows a couple of candidates to be our man. If somebody could do a SDGW lookup to determine place of birth, we should be able to find him and get some family information.

That was probably the one answer I didn’t want as it still leaves two possibles !!!!

I have one Frederick Golledge aged 15 in 1901 and another aged 9. Both were living in Hackney at the time.

The 15 y.o. was living with his 39 year old widowed mother Rebecca at No 24, Brooksbys Walk, Hackney. He is recorded as born in West Ham.

The 9 y.o. is an inmate at the Sidney Road Children’s Home in Hackney. His place of birth is recorded as “Not Known”.
