larneman Posted 27 November , 2004 Share Posted 27 November , 2004 Among those paying their respects at Guillemont was Niall Grant from Belfast. Four of Mr Grant’s great-uncles, the Flanigan brothers, gave their lives during the First World War. The brothers came from Great Victoria Street in Belfast and their family once owned the famous Crown Bar. Copyright © The Mid-Ulster Mail 2004. Are 4 brothers a sort of record? I have found 2 on the CWGC site. Looking for the other 2. FLANIGAN, EDMUND HUGHES Lieutenant Royal Army Medical Corps 102nd Field Amb. 33 17/06/1916 Son of Patrick and Ellen Flanigan. Guest LauraEJT Posted 27 November , 2004 Share Posted 27 November , 2004 Hi. There was a documentary on Hist.Chan. a few days ago that mentioned 5 brothers from Sheffield killed but I only caught part of it so can't be sure and don't know the details. Sad whatever to think of the devastation to these families
