healdav Posted 21 June , 2016 Share Posted 21 June , 2016 To my surprise, when I opened a very old Penguin book on WW1 POWs, I found that stuck in it were various pages from a book of extracts or précis. One extract which is there in full is entitled, "The Attempts of Oberleutnant H.H.E. Justus to escape from imprisonment in England 1917-1918". Another is, "The escape of the Tchernavin family from Soviet Russia to Finland, summer, 1931". It would seem to be an anthology as there not only those mentioned, but also an extract from "450 Miles to Freedom". Does anyone have any idea what the title of this book may have been?
