Unfortunately not and there is no actual list or index as such at Kew; just the microfilm rolls which you will need to trawl through in the hope of finding your man.

WO363 is the reference for the burnt documents but there are other series of documents which might contain the information you are looking for. This host website provides the sources you need to aim for. Click here for the link.

When I was at the Morman Family History Library in Salt Lake City about five years ago they had a typescript index of WO363 or WO364 or both which I used at the time. I do not know if it is available on their website or not. Regards. Dick Flory

Was the index complete or did it just give the first surname and last surname of the men on each roll of film and not the ones in between?

My memory is that, unlike the PRO list, it actually listed all the men in each box and not just the first and last name in the box. Regards. Dick
