There are two MIC's for my father, Timothy Canniffe (sometimes Canniff). One card for V and B medals + GS medal and another for 1914 Star (also GS Medal). I think he enlisted in the Munsters(9894) in 1914, embarked with 2nd Batt. 13/08/14, was wounded, transferred to APC (24739), promoted CPL. (7658054). Served in Iraq 1919-20.

Can anyone explain the following abb./numbers:

On the 1914 Star Card

Canniffe T. RMF Pte 9894

#RAPC Cpl 7658054

Action taken

I.V. /42/G. 25.6.19 W.S/5/2748

#Former No. 24610

1914Clasp+Rose I.V. 3526/c(or @). d q6/20 (writen as a fraction) AuthClasp/2/1601

G S Med #RAPC/GSM/1.51 clasp Iraq

Qualifying Date: 13-8-14 Some faded writing W.S/32748

s(12)hins (?) T.J.

Clasp 2/1601

Can I tell his Unit, Company or where he was wounded from any of this and must I go to Kew to take the search further.

I have my fathers note books with signal training information and he signs himself, Timothy Joseph Canniffe, sergeant. Could he have been in the the signal company as well as all the above.
