Oldleg Posted 21 December , 2016 Share Posted 21 December , 2016 I am interested in learning as much as I can of the 28 Lushai Company of the Indian Labour Corps as they were in my neighbouring area here in Lyons La Forêt? Can anyone recommend any books about the 28 Lushai Company? I have been reading No Labour, No Battle and want to read more about their time here as I believe they spent the later part of WWI here. MaureenE Posted 22 December , 2016 Share Posted 22 December , 2016 There is stated to be a book in preparation "Indian Labour Corps in the Great War", but it appears it has not yet not been published http://indiaww1.in/ourpublication.aspx Two general articles: (Click on coloured text) "Indian Labour Corps" by Radhika Singha. encyclopedia.1914-1918-online.net. "North East India and the First World War" by Pratap Chhetri February 4, 2016. The Indian Labour Corps: includes the Lushai Labour Corps, "The Centre for Hidden Histories" [WW1] Cheers Maureen
