SteveE Posted 16 December , 2004 Share Posted 16 December , 2004 Pals Can SKS with access to the Birmingham edition of the National Roll of the Great War see if M/315003 Private Archibald H Ellis, Army Service Corps, has an entry? As always any and all help gratefully received. Steve

SteveE Posted 18 December , 2004 Author Share Posted 18 December , 2004 Thanks Gordon Not sure if it's the right man either , I'm looking for some details for a friend to try and positively identify the man stated as her relative, I was obviously hoping for an entry in the National Roll of Honour to help locate him without having to go to the NA. All I know at the moment is that Archibald was Birmingham born and bred. Steve
Guest Ian Bowbrick Posted 18 December , 2004 Share Posted 18 December , 2004 There is only one A H Ellis in the Birmingham edition of the NR and that is a Private in the Worcestershire Regt who was killed on 25 June 1916. He was resident at 4/43, Hingeston Street, Hockley, Birmingham.
SteveE Posted 18 December , 2004 Author Share Posted 18 December , 2004 Ian Thanks very much, that's just the info (or lack of it) that I wanted. I was hoping to fast track some info but it's obvious that a trip to the NA is now called for to search for his service papers. Thanks again Steve
