steve140968 Posted 18 December , 2004 Author Share Posted 18 December , 2004 Thanks a lot Dave . Can i assume that as my grandfather served with this battalion between these dates the battalion would have been kept together . so it would be fair to say that these were probably his movements . Also Dave , would he have likely to have seen action at these places , or were they perhaps places which had yet to see any significant action ? Any help would be greatly appreciated , thanks . Steve.
CROONAERT Posted 18 December , 2004 Share Posted 18 December , 2004 Steve. Morval, Sailly,Monchy and Orange Hill are all places he may (probably) have seen action whether in battle or just "trench holding" (definately in Battle for Monchy and Orange Hill). The rest (at the time of his being there) are rear areas, for recuperation and training. Dave.
