A Forum search shows nothing, so apologies if this has been discussed, but has anyone read or seen a copy of the book, "Friends Are Good on the Day of Battle", by Craig French, in the Wolverhampton Military Studies series Amazon link ?

I have the book, so it does exist, but I have not yet read it.

I am currently wrestling with some flat-pack furniture. If I don't lose the will to live, I will have a peek.

I haver started on it, and it is very detailed and very promising. It has a very complimentary foreword from Hew Strachan, which says a lot.

Chris Baker has posted a review of the book on his Long Long Trail website. He is complimentary.

Looks like a must, then. Incidentally, I hope the N&M reprint of the Divisional History (on offer on their website) will be awaiting my arrival home this evening.
