Guest Lee M Johnson Posted 8 January , 2005 Share Posted 8 January , 2005 My Gt Grandfather George V Huzzey of the 3rd Worcs was a prisoner at Gardelegen Camp in Germany. I have an excellent photograph of him with the camp guards. I am struggling to find out any more info on the camp. I have tried Behind the Wire without result, anybody assist? Another side issue is that I am trying to find my relatives date of joining , his Service number being 6355. Family history has him taking part in the Boer war but I think this number would have been to late. I have tried the Rgt Museum which is first rate but can't help on this occasion. Thanks for any help in anticipation. Lee
Chris Noble Posted 11 January , 2005 Share Posted 11 January , 2005 This web site is in French Lee, but it does provide a few details about the camp. Regards, Chris. http://prisonniers-de-guerre-1914-1918.chez.tiscali.fr/
