The AWDr/60 is the Inspector's unique mark, stamped on the empty case at final inspection by the inspector to confirm all is well with the case. It's a quality control thing.

The brass is made from 67% copper and 33% zinc. The 60 below AWDr is an inspection mark from the manufacturing workshop. It being subdued is referring to the stamp not being as indented as the other stamps on the case.
