Bill,

Top photo: the "Broad Arrow" indicates property of British Govt.; known colloquially as a "crowsfoot", for obvious reasons.

It is not technically a proof mark.

Lower photo:A second broad arrow is on the backstrap, between the date of manufacture (19)'15 and "MARK".

I cannot identify the horizontal "K" on the frame, although it looks like an incomplete broad arrow.

A nice looking revolver.

Regards,

JMB

The K looks like the beginning of a sold out of service stamp, maybe the tool broke? the broad arrow on the top strap is unusual and appears unofficial, reminiscent of the extra large marking on the top strap of the Mk1 that were circulating here a few years ago. I really don't know but a nice oddity to ponder on.

Greetings from Sherwood Forest

Concerning the "sold out of service " mark on the Webleys frame. it appears to me that the person who stamped it had not positioned the stamp correctly

thus getting only half of it ,hence it ended up looking like a K . I have seen this on other items in the past.
