Graham53 Posted 5 February , 2020 Share Posted 5 February , 2020 Evening all, I'm looking for information on the 15th West Yorkshire Regt, during April 1918. Currently researching a soldier who was with them and captured on the 12th April 1918 at Steenwerck. George Neil Born 1899 Death 1966 Service no 62180. Thanks in advance. Graham. Admin DavidOwen Posted 6 February , 2020 Admin Share Posted 6 February , 2020 Welcome to the forum Graham The Battalion War Diary for the period you need can be downloaded from The National Archives for £3.50 via this link https://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/C7353709 It should also be available via Ancestry. It is very unlikely to name your soldier but it will detail what the unit was doing at the time. I presume you have found his ICRC details? Good luck with your research David
