jim_davies Posted 17 November , 2002 Share Posted 17 November , 2002 I came across a Victory Medal in a local antiques store (wrong ribbon but never mind), but what does DNS stand for. Thanks, Jim
Guest Hill 60 Posted 17 November , 2002 Share Posted 17 November , 2002 Jim - I think it is short for Dragoons. Lee
jim_davies Posted 18 November , 2002 Author Share Posted 18 November , 2002 Thanks Lee, That makes sense. This store kind of makes me laugh last time I went they had a 1914/15 Star to a Sjt in the RMF, wanted $130 for it and had it listed as a Greek or possibly German WW1 medal ?!? This victory medal (the Dragoons) isn't in a particularly nice condition and they want 60 bucks-so I think I'll save up for something when I return home. Cheers, Jim
