Marilyne Posted 21 April , 2021 Share Posted 21 April , 2021 Thanks for sharing. AS already said, I have her "The Roses of No Man's Land" permanently on hand when researching my ladies. A great author. She will be missed. M.
Uncle George Posted 21 April , 2021 Share Posted 21 April , 2021 I’ve posted the attached on the GWF before, but am happy to do so again. I was moved when I saw it in the ‘Observer’ in November 1983, and cut it out and kept it. The obituary mentions her empathy; and here she is:

The book also includes the text of a letter written to Jim by Ernie's mother shortly after her son was killed.
bradley Posted 29 April , 2021 Share Posted 29 April , 2021 Ah,thats a shame. rest in peace Lyn. Im reading her last written book at the moment and have been reading her books since I became fascinated with the Great War nearly twenty years ago now. It did occur to me recently that she must be at a fair age and now this thread.Well I suppose ,no surprise. Thank you for your endeavours Lyn Macdonald
