I bet it was a real kick in the teeth to those that had got, I have a book entitled Bantams and used it once for a reference but must get round to reading it...

Yes, it’s an interesting story.  One problem was when taking over trenches constructed to dimensions set down in the established field engineering regulations the Bantams stood on the fire step, but could not see over the parapet.  They had to stand on boxes.
