knittinganddeath Posted 19 January , 2023 Share Posted 19 January , 2023 I know that @AndyBsk's speciality is bayonets, but perhaps he might have some insights on this topic?
Toftik Posted 20 January , 2023 Author Share Posted 20 January , 2023 So? Nobody know? I found lot of topics where some guy from Turkey indentificated all...but he is no longer online here i think...all were from 2018 and older
mancpal Posted 20 January , 2023 Share Posted 20 January , 2023 Do you mean Trajan? Still active to my knowledge, he is very knowledgeable about bayonets and as such I’d imagine has a good amount of knowledge about the guns to which they were supplied. hope this helps. GreyC Posted 20 January , 2023 Share Posted 20 January , 2023 As I wrote above, this is clearly not my field of expertise, but as a moderator of the largest and (dare I say so) most knowledgable German speaking forum on WW1 and earlier German wars (https://www.feldgrau-forum.com), I asked our specialists and they came up with: Bayerische Reserve Eisenbahn Kompagnie 1, Waffennummer 171Kaiser Alexander (Garde) Grenadier Regiment, Füsilier Bataillon, 1. Kompagnie, Waffe 233 Best, GreyC

Toftik Posted 20 January , 2023 Author Share Posted 20 January , 2023 (edited) Sorry,i am from slovakia and in our army we use batalion,prápor, pluk (and we dont have regiments) for same army part and + translate to english....so my weapon is from third batalion of this regiment, how do you know its from 3rd ? (because number of weapon? ) Edited 20 January , 2023 by Toftik
GreyC Posted 20 January , 2023 Share Posted 20 January , 2023 Because of the "F" which stands for Füsilier who at that time always were constituting the 3rd Btl. in the German infantry regiments. GreyC
Toftik Posted 20 January , 2023 Author Share Posted 20 January , 2023 (edited) Ah, now i am looking at wiki and "In addition, the third battalions of all guard, grenadier and line infantry regiments retained the designation 'Fusilier Battalion'." but this is "not my field " whole science...thank you very much Edited 20 January , 2023 by Toftik
