emjayen Posted 23 January , 2023 Share Posted 23 January , 2023 Way out of my area of expertise, so any help greatly appreciated. Am trying to find out anything relating to the above unit which was based at Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Anything concerning unit strength, area of operations etc would be very helpful. I am researching a member of The Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, Cpl Alexander Allen, who was attached to this unit from 1914-19. He was attached from the Inniskillings who in 1914 were based at Secunderabad, India. In 1917 he was Mentioned in Despatches for his work in DeS. Thanks in anticipation! HERITAGE PLUS Posted 24 January , 2023 Share Posted 24 January , 2023 (edited) There is one line mention of the unit and an overview of the sanitary work in Dar es Salaam here: https://gweaa.com/home/medical-project/the-pike-report-on-german-east-africa/ Dave Edited 24 January , 2023 by HERITAGE PLUS Typo correction
