womo Posted 30 April Share Posted 30 April Hi guys, I'm trying to find a picture of the afore mentioned medal. In the London Gazette, the awards are listed after the Cross of Karageorge so assume its a different medal? Your input will be most appreciated. womo Posted 30 April Author Share Posted 30 April This is what I have to go on, Order of Karageorge Silver Medal. The Following are among the Decorations and medals awarded by the Allied Powers at various dates to the British Forces for distinguished services rendered during the course of the campaign. His Majesty the king has given unrestricted permission in all cases to wear the Decorations and medals in question. Thanks Womo

mancpal Posted 30 April Share Posted 30 April After a quick google it appears ‘Dorde’ is George in Serbian so I think we’re on the same lines. Simon
Guest Posted 30 April Share Posted 30 April Search Liverpool Medals on Google Karageorge. They recently sold an MM group with a Karageorge to the 11th Worcestershire Regiment. Adrian

Its confusing as there's an order, a cross and a medal. All different classes Womo
mancpal Posted 30 April Share Posted 30 April Womo, that’s why I mentioned early on if it was the Karadorde award (in its various classes). One and the same when accepting that ‘George’ is the British for the Serbian ‘Dorde’ and Serbia had a King in those days, from your post above where “his majesty the King…..” was our monarch or the Serbs.
