I have the Flying Log book of Charles Edwin Jones, F7536  / 207607

in the front cover is written  'Awarded the Medaille Militare'  i don't have his medals but wondered if this could be proved or if there is any official record of this ?

Thank you

Who is this man?  Some confusion here:-

F.7536 (RNAS)  and 207536 (RAF) =  Sydney Thomas HUNT     https://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/D6805721

F.7607 (RNAS) and 207607 (RAF)  =  Charles John Edwin James JONES  = Medaille Militaire 15 July 1919    -    https://www.thegazette.co.uk/London/issue/31457/supplement/8987   A Sergeant Mechanic Armourer RAF. Was he an Observer?   https://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/D6805792   and   https://www.rafmuseumstoryvault.org.uk/archive/jones-c.j.e.j

ah, thank you for pointing this out Horatio2............yes those numbers were written in by the previous owner of the log book, and i think he was confused as he also had a small collection of items belonging to Sidney Thomas Hunt..........so ignor the 7536 number........

Jones  was an Observer with 7 squadron flying in HP 0400's
