28809    WEST    GEORGE   E

PA39905 has him as William, but 28809 is definitely George Edward.   18th Bn per icrc.

Medal roll also says 18th Bn.

Couldn't find a white icrc card.

61931 doesn't bring up anything for me. The medal card for this number also has a postwar number 7077042 that leads to an MoD held file for a man born 26 June 1900. Thus unlikely to have been taken pow Apr 1918. Couldn't see him on a ww1 medal roll.

What did you come up with for this man?

Medal roll gives him as an 18th Bn man.

St John's enquiry gives him as A Coy, 18th bn.

Haven't we already covered him?
