seaJane Posted 29 July Share Posted 29 July (edited) Would it be The Green Fields of France (by Eric Bogle)? Sung here by June Tabor. https://youtu.be/cWhOO9Q323Y?feature=shared Edited 29 July by seaJane
travers61 Posted 29 July Share Posted 29 July There was this short BBC programme in 2016 "Roan Cottage, Co. Armagh: Private William McBride" about the songs origins in the World War One at Home series. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p03g18bp I have always found the BBC helpful with queries about past programmes & in doing so discovered they have their full programme listings back to the 1920's. https://www.bbc.co.uk/contact/questions/programme-information Travers
