good morning,

Here is an article from the newspaper "La Voix Du Nord" about the visit of a member of the Royal family to Loos en Gohelle in connection with the extension of the Loos British Cemetery.

sorry this newspaper is in french.

this extension is due to work in the region with the discovery of many Commonwealth soldiers among others.

Pas de Calais :

Vendin le Vieil :

- Extension of the commercial area
- Construction of the prison

Lens :

- New Hospital

Nord :

Cambrai sector :

- construction of the Seine / Nord canal :

The Royal family has a connection with the Battle of Loos on 25 September 1915 by losing a member who is buried in Quarry cemetery in Vermelles.
