Sue Light Posted 27 April , 2005 Share Posted 27 April , 2005 This photo was taken just before the one of the Rough Riders memorial, although this is in the church of St. Bartholomew the Less, just across the road. The church is within the boundary of St. Bartholomew's Hospital, Smithfield, and this man was obviously a doctor there, and also served with the RAMC during the Great War. I wonder if the medals were actually in situ at some time, and if so whether they were removed for safety? Sue
judy7007 Posted 19 September , 2013 Share Posted 19 September , 2013 I was at the church of St Bartholomew the Less the other day and found the plaque referred to above (although the photo isn't there). This is an old thread but Sue didn't get an answer so I'm reviving it as maybe someone now has some more information. Judy
