Later I got a hardback copy and read it again c,2005 but lent it out and never got it back. This week I received a further copy which I am about to start for the third time, My question is with what unit was the author F A Voigt in ? Hazarding a BIG guess .... based on the style and linguistics of the dialogue: Fritz A VOIGT, G/38757, Duke of Cambridge's Own (Middlesex) Regiment - only a BWM & VM so ToW after 31/12/1915 could perhaps suit conscription and such names could also perhaps encourage anonymous initialisation to F.A.V. ???
