Yorkshire Flyers / White Rose regiment

My grandad mentioned to me a regiment whose nickname was the Yorkshire Flyers and that they were also known as the White Rose regiment. I can't find any trace of these formations. Has anyone any idea who they might be ?

I believe the Regiment that you refer to belongs to a regiment in the 49th West Riding Division whose Divisional symbol was the White Rose.

The divisional monument is to be found at the Canal Side at Ypres by Essex Farm Cemetery.
