Dawson Posted 8 February , 2006 Share Posted 8 February , 2006 Good news on the book front. Salford pals by Michael Stedman is being released on the 20th July in hardback, lets hope they don't mess with it like they did with the Manchester one. Also the classic twelve days by Sidney Rogerson is being released on the 15th April in Hardback. Two down, 76543 to go. Ian.
Papineau Posted 8 February , 2006 Share Posted 8 February , 2006 Good news on both counts; I hope one day someone will be brave enough to release Rogerson's other book on the war, largely about his experiences on the Chemin des Dames in May 1918, The Last of the Ebb. Rodge Dowson Posted 28 April , 2006 Share Posted 28 April , 2006 Do you know if Michael's forthcoming title 'The Somme 1916: And Other Experiences of the Salford Pals' is this the same content reprinted as the original 'Salford Pals' or does it contain new material? I have pre-ordered it anyway...... Rodge

Messina1915 Posted 27 April , 2008 Share Posted 27 April , 2008 Just to say that I really enjoyed the Michael Stedman book on the Salford Pals. I got it out of my library and despite having no connection with or any previous interest in Salford I found it very interesting and very readable. Cheers, Carole.
