Hello,

I am looking for two obscure (or perhaps not) books on the Western Front:

Ronald Gurner 'Pass Guard at Ypres'

Elizabeth Braithwaite Buckle 'A kingly Grave in France'

Does anyone have access to these books?

Regards

David

David you will find a chapter of biography, (about 25 pages) on Ronald Gurner and his book, Pass Guard at Ypres in "The Flower of Battle, British Fictional Writers of the First World War" by Hugh Cecil. Secker & Warburg published 1995. Tim.

Tim,

It was whilst reading the chapter on Ronald Gurner that I became interested in trying to find the book :)

I am also interested in finding out more about one of the characters called Copeland, who was modelled on Frank Copeland Worster, killed on the Aisne 27th May 1918 in the 3rd Worcestershire

Regards

David

Just noticed that 'Pass Guard at Ypres' will be reprinted in August by Casemate UK, £8.99 in paperback.
