Terry Posted 30 September , 2003 Share Posted 30 September , 2003 I was fortunate enough on ebay recently to acquire the WW1 pair to Sapper Goguen, 3rd Tunnelling Company, Canadian Engineers. Goguen was wounded and captured on 30 Sept.,1918. He was from my home province of New Brunswick. I checked the Canadian war diary site and sure enough, the diary entry for 1 Oct.,1918 states "... Capt.G.B. Field and Sapper Goguen were captured while doing reconnaisance work." Groups to POW's seldom show up and I consider myself lucky to have six (three trios, three pairs) to the CEF in my collection. Do any of the Pals specialize in POW groups? David_Bluestein Posted 30 September , 2003 Share Posted 30 September , 2003 Hi Terry, I have a 1914-15 Trio to a Pte. 3rd (Toronto) Battalion. Taken at the 2nd Battle of Ypres on April 24, 1915. POW's are hard to find, and I would consider them far more rare then a typical casualty group (KIA, DOW or DOD).
