Max Posted 1 October , 2003 Share Posted 1 October , 2003 Hello Everyone It would be nice if you could all just take a second to contemplate the death of my GGrandfather, 3/2614 Pte Sam Daughtry Riding 1/KOYLI, who was KIA at Loos 88 years ago today. Also to remember the other, and possibly greater heroes of the piece, the legions of women and children of men killed in battle who had to carve out a life for themselves after their husbands death often under the most strenuous and desperate circumstances.
